The person behind GXN
My name is Mario. I've been doing software development for over twenty years, with the web, enterprise systems and, more recently, artificial intelligence as the common threads of my career.
I have launched SaaS products with Laravel and Node.js, developed hundreds of WordPress websites, built hosting infrastructure, restored sites others had given up on, and guided businesses through technology decisions that genuinely mattered to them. I am also pursuing graduate studies in artificial intelligence because I believe that understanding a technology in depth is the only honest way to recommend it, or decide not to.
What sets me apart is not a list of certifications. I answer that myself. When your project progresses, I'm the one who makes the technical decisions. When something goes wrong, you call me, not a customer service person who has to transfer your call three times before finding someone who understands your case.
Direct senior expertise, supported by specialists when required by the project. You never lose the thread of who is responsible for what.
What is GXN
GXN stands for digital governance. The name captures exactly what the company does: helping businesses and organizations regain control of their digital environment, rather than passively depending on it.
GXN is a division of MD79 inc., a Quebec company founded in 2011. It is intentionally kept at a human scale so every project receives senior attention instead of being handed down through layers of staff.
The company exists for a simple reason. Too many digital platforms have become black boxes, run by vendors that have disappeared, built on foundations that no one understands anymore, or simply left abandoned because no one knew where to start to improve them. GXN exists to take that thread, document it, and put it back in the hands of the organization where it truly belongs.
What guides each project
These principles are not slogans displayed for image. These are the reflexes that apply, file after file, even when no one is checking.
Saying no has value.
Sometimes the right answer is not to change anything. A project that does not really serve your business does not become more useful because it pays for us. Denying a mandate that has no meaning creates more confidence than accepting any mandate.
Clarity before the sale.
You should always know what is being done, why, what is coming, what decisions are yours, and how much it costs. An explanation you don't understand is not a good explanation, no matter how impressive it seems.
Control lies with the company, not the provider.
Your domain, your hosting, your code, your accounts. These are yours, documented, transferable, and never held hostage by a relationship that should rather be based on trust and competence.
Technology serves the business, never the other way around.
Laravel is not always necessary. Artificial intelligence should never be a gimmick thrown in for the sake of image. Each technical recommendation is based on a real business need, never on a personal preference for a tool.
Be clear about the limits, not hide them.
No project is without risk, no technology is perfect, and pretending otherwise always ends up costing someone dearly. Honestly naming what could go wrong is part of the job, not something you keep to yourself.
A verifiable editorial method.
GXN Guides are in-depth studies, not articles produced to fill a calendar. Each guide starts with a specific question, gives a direct answer, explains options, costs, risks and limitations, then relates the topic to a business decision.
Update dates are displayed. External sources are cited when they support a fact that is subject to change or an official requirement. A significant correction must be included in the relevant guide, with its updated modification date.
I sign intellectual responsibility for what is published by GXN. When a subject requires legal interpretation, accounting or specialized expertise that goes beyond the technical mandate, this limit is clearly named.
